Neonlauro is one of Dolomiti Contemporanee’s partner, and takes an active role in the International Public-Art Contest Two Calls for Vajont.
In particular, the collaboration with Neonlauro, a firm specialized in neon technology, and very active in the artistic sphere, will allow for the realization of the winning piece of A Call For A Wall, i.e. the neon artwork that will be installed on the southern façade of the Nuovo Spazio di Casso.
In the context of this collaboration, and of the Contest itself, Neonlauro will host a workshop, in its own artisan lab, at the headquarters of the firm, in San Vendemiano (Treviso, Via Raffaello 57).
The workshop is open to the artists taking part in the Twocalls Contest, and to those who may have a steadfast cultural or professional interest in regards of neon technology and the Contest.

It will take place Friday, March the 6th, from 2pm to 5pm, and will be composed of three phases:
-  Introduction to the implementation technique (theory);
–  Practical demonstration of a neon product’s manufacture by a master-blower;
–  Practical exercise on the realization of a neon product by the participants to the workshop themselves.

The maximum number of participants is set at 15.

Neonlauro è partner di Dolomiti Contemporanee, e partecipa attivamente al Concorso Interazionale di Public-Art Two calls for Vajont.
In particolare, la collaborazione di Neonlauro, azienda specializzata nella tecnologia neon, e molto attiva nell’ambito artistico, consentirà di realizzare l’opera vincitrice di A call for a wall, ovvero l’opera di neon che sarà installata sulla facciata meridionale del Nuovo Spazio di Casso.
Nell’ambito di questa collaborazione, e dello stesso Concorso, Neonlauro realizza un workshop, nel proprio laboratorio artigiano, presso la sede dell’azienda, a San Vendemiano (Treviso, Via Raffaello 57).
Il workshop è aperto agli artisti selezionati nel Concorso Twocalls, e ad altri artisti ed eventualmente altre persone che abbiano un deciso interesse culturale o professionale a proposito della tecnologia neon e del Concorso.

Esso si svolgerà venerdì 6 marzo, dalle ore 14.00 alle ore 17.00, e prevederà tre fasi:
-  introduzione alla tecnica realizzativa (teoria);
-  dimostrazione pratica nella realizzazione di un manufatto-neon da parte di un maestro soffiatore;
-  esercitazione pratica sulla realizzazione di un manufatto-neon da parte dei partecipanti al workshop.

I posti sono limitati ad un numero di 15 partecipanti.

On 18th July, at 5 pm at the Nuovo Spazio di Casso, the results of Twocalls will be presented to the public.
During the event there will also be the opening of 
twocalls, la forma delle idee (twocalls, the shape of ideas, in English), where a selection of the finalist projects will be exhibited.

The Twocalls Contest entered its second phase. Lots of projects have been submitted in the latest days of the first phase, kept the Evaluation Committee busy longer than expected.
The Jury will nominate the winners in June.

Here a video, realized with the event Vajont 2015 – Progetti, held on 2 May in Casso, in which some members of the Jury, participants, inhabitants of the Vajont area, intertwine their opinions and ideas on the meaning of Twocalls regarding the history of Vajont and of its territory.

On April the 30th the first phase of the International Artistic Contest Two Calls for Vajont, launched in June 2014 by Dolomiti Contemporanee drew to a close.
The Contest was conceived as an open platform of reflection on the territory of the Vajont and on its terrible history (October the 9th 1963), and as an opportunity to rethink, through the production of a series of renovating images, the landscape and some of the main symbols of that history today, transforming them from still objects-memories of the tragedy into active and shared “construction sites” of the mind and spirit.
